Singapore, 10 September 2025 – Digital travel platform Agoda, marking World Tourism Day with a major sale designed to inspire more people to explore new corners of Asia Pacific, while giving hotels and travel providers a chance to boost visibility and bookings.
The initiative comes as cross-border travel in Asia Pacific becomes easier with relaxed visa restrictions, fueling a wave of demand for both popular hubs and off-the-beaten-path destinations. According to Agoda’s latest New Horizons data, lesser known spots such as Chiayi in Taiwan, the Perhentian Islands in Malaysia, Cheongju-si in South Korea, and Siquijor Island in the Philippines are among the fastest-growing destinations this year.

Running from 24 September to 8 October, the campaign will feature discounts of up to 60% on hotels, with special flash sales of up to 70% on 27 September and 6 October. Flights and activities are also part of the promotion, while Agoda VIP members get early access between 21 and 23 September.
